Before entering the water
We agree the depth, gas, route and purpose of the dive. At an unfamiliar site, entry, exit and local conditions are part of the briefing.
During and after the dive
I stay close without taking every small decision away from you. The debrief afterwards covers what worked and where changes to technique, equipment or planning would help.

Guided dive or Refresher?
A guided dive is suitable when the core skills are still present. If equipment assembly, mask skills or controlled ascents are significantly uncertain, the Refresher is the better preparation.
