Learn to dive until you can actually do it.
DiveWithSteini is a small SDI/TDI dive school based in Herrenberg. Most training is one-to-one, with Daniel joining the team where an additional instructor makes sense.
- SDI and TDI training
- Mostly one-to-one, or two people by arrangement
- Workshop, air fills and cylinder inspections
- Visits by appointment
Where are you starting from?
The first conversation is about your diving, not about forcing a course into the diary. Tell me what certification you hold, when you last dived and what you would like to improve.
That is normally enough to decide whether you need a course, a refresher, a single training dive or simply more ordinary diving practice.
Four common starting points
The full course list is available on the Training page.

Open Water Scuba Diver
Entry-level training with digital theory, confined-water sessions and open-water dives.

Our vaulted cellar in Herrenberg
The classroom, diver bar, equipment area, compressor and workshop are all under one historic vaulted ceiling at Hasenplatz 4.
Advice, service drop-off and visits are by appointment. Parking is sometimes available outside; Herrenberg Altstadtgarage is the reliable alternative.

Who you train with
You will know who is teaching before the appointment.

Sven Steinhardt
Founder, owner and first point of contact for training, equipment advice and workshop enquiries.

Daniel Bauer
Instructor within the team, particularly useful for two-person courses and shared training days.
What divers have said
“The theory was properly explained rather than ticked off. I was nervous in the lake, but Steini stayed with me until clearing the mask was reliable.”Marco, 29 · Open Water
“As a late starter I was worried about being left behind in a younger group. After the Advanced course, I finally felt that I could dive rather than simply complete exercises.”Jens, 55 · Advanced
“After four dives my buoyancy finally became consistent. I valued the direct feedback and the time to repeat the skills.”Andreas, 41 · Buoyancy training
Workshop, equipment and air fills
We advise on Scubaforce, DirZone, XDeep and Santi equipment. There is no online shop: fit, existing kit and planned use are easier to assess face to face.
Scubaforce regulators are serviced by us as an authorised service centre. Apeks regulators are accepted in Herrenberg and handled through a specialist partner workshop in Switzerland. New cylinder inspection dates will be announced at short notice.
- Air fills up to 232 bar
- Organisation of periodic cylinder inspections
- Hire kit by prior reservation
- Drop-off and collection by appointment
